FEE - PUBLICATION

PUBLICATION FEE

Our journals have consciously chosen not to seek public funding or display advertisements on our websites, a fundamental decision to maintain our autonomy and ensure complete editorial independence. To cover the inherent costs of our publications, we have opted for a funding model in which authors contribute by paying a publication fee. It is important to highlight that the idea of free publications is a misconception; there are always costs involved, ultimately borne by someone—either the authors or taxpayers through public funding.

The publication fee is calculated based on a series of factors, including monthly fixed costs, variable expenses, and investments. Our expenses cover a variety of items, such as hosting on Amazon, hiring qualified professionals like journalists, lawyers, librarians, IT specialists, a Data Protection Officer (DPO), an accountant, among others. They also include expenses like DOI registration (in USD), communication services (internet and phone), text editing and formatting, marketing, software subscriptions, acquisition of equipment (like laptops), taxes (federal and municipal), and registrations on various platforms.

RECINTER21 clarifies that there is no cost for the initial submission of articles. However, a publication fee of R$ 299.00 (two hundred and ninety-nine reais) for authors in Brazil and $100.00 (one hundred dollars) for international authors is applied after article approval. It is essential to verify all details before submission, as post-publication corrections will incur an additional fee of R$ 200.00 (two hundred reais).
